Stranger Than Fiction (2017)
M. Ozan KaryaÄŸdı is an audiovisual artist living and working in Berlin. He received his BA in History and Film Studies from BoÄŸaziçi University in Istanbul, in 2017. He completed MA classes with high honors in the Cinema and Television department at KHAS University Istanbul as well as the European Ethnology Department of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His MA thesis is related to Deleuzian cineosis; Time Crystals leading to Cinema-Thinking in the domain of Lectosigns. As for the practical experience, he has experimental and documentary short films called Stranger Than Fiction (2017), Mouths of Sharks (Apaci: A Refugee Story) (2018), 2 ½ (2019) as well as shooting events such as Translation Village Music Carnival and 70. Berlinale DocSalon Events (2020) on behalf of the European Film Market. Now he is working as a freelance video and filmmaker, photographer, cameraman, and editor, as well as an educator giving some online classes in terms of scriptwriting. He aspires to combine his academic and technical knowledge in the practical realm of audiovisual production.
